Pittenweem Arts Festival 2024

From the mountains to the sea

Fishing boats in the harbour at Pittenweem, white sands and turquoise waters in Harris, frozen lochs and moors in the Cairngorms – just some of the themes in this year’s annual exhibition.

Sometimes the mood is bright and sunny, sometimes dark and broody.

That’s landscape painting in Scotland.

As ever, some images are as I see them when walking the coastlines and hills, others veer towards the more abstract. That’s the fun of painting.

Sharing our venue are

John Scott of Sourdust Pottery, Edinburgh painter Jill Macleod and Glasgow-based artist Siobhan McLaughlin

Kirsten Boston, my fellow North Berwick painter, will be in the garage next door.

Please remember to buy the Arts Festival programme at the car park or the Festival Office on the High Street. This helps to fund the Festival – as well as guide you through the venues.

Please check the Pittenweem Arts Festival website for guidance on parking
